I grew up in southern California with the vast Pacific Ocean as my backyard, but never imagined I would one day sail across it & several other oceans during a 3-year voyage with my husband, Jerry. Returning home brought new adventures… and challenges. While resuming my career as a physical therapist assistant, we became legal guardians of our young teenage granddaughter & also opened our home to provide care for my elderly dad in the middle stage of Alzheimer’s. Yikes! I needed a soft sandy beach hideaway, so on Sunday afternoons I shut my home office door and began writing my YA novel. I had plenty of real-life material to guide my work
Besides sailing, I enjoy land-cruising the diversity of landscapes within the U.S.A. Included along those paths are kayaking, hiking, & cycling. I am passionate about my faith, gardens, sunsets, & of course, my grand & great-grandkids. Over the years I’ve written articles for Sail & several other magazines, posted blogs, & created short stories. I’m currently a member of American Christian Fiction Writers/ACFW & couldn’t survive without my critique group, Heartland Christian Writers/HCW in Greenwood, Indiana. Everything I have and am I credit to God, the author of my life.
